Who we are

UniConnect is a pilot dating and friendship service for adults (18+) in Tirana, Albania. Contact: getuniconnect@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account: your email address, used to log you in and, if it is a university email, to give you the Verified student badge. Other users never see it.
Profile: first name, birth year (shown as your age), university, faculty, bio, interests, what you're looking for, and your photos.
Activity: who you like or pass, your matches, group plans you create or join, whether you attended, your trust coins and their history.
Messages: the chats you send to matches and plan groups.
Safety: people you block and reports you send or receive.

Why we use it

To run the service: show profiles, create matches, run group plans and chats.
To keep people safe: verify students, act on reports, and suspend accounts that break the rules.
To learn whether the pilot works, using overall numbers (for example how many plans happen), not your private messages.

We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

Who can see what

Other signed-in students can see your profile (not your email). Only you and your match can read your match chat; only plan members can read a plan's chat. Moderators can see reports and the profiles involved. People you block can't see you.

Where it's stored

Data is stored with our hosting providers, Supabase (database, photos and login) and Vercel (website). [State the Supabase region you chose, ideally in the EU.]

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. You can do that any time in Me → Delete my account, which removes your profile, photos, matches and messages. Reports about you may be kept for a limited time for safety.

Your rights

Under Albanian data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner. Contact us at getuniconnect@gmail.com.

Age

UniConnect is only for people aged 18 or over.
